Submitted by derdaddler on Sun, 01/03/2010 - 08:36
Wikileaks presented in a talk at the 26C3 hacker congress in Berlin a few days ago their plans to make Iceland a Safe Haven for Freedom of Information, a offshore publication centre.
"Never let a crisis go waste" they argued, referring to the financial collapse in Iceland since 2008.

Wikileaks published at that time the loan book of the failing Kaupthing bank and made it to the main evening news.

Further publication included pager messages from 9/11, former Bilderberg meeting reports and the hacked CRU Mails of IPCC scientists (Climategate). The bill to establish the legal framework is to be introduced on Jan, 21st.
