I don't

understand how the republicans didn't see that the joke was on them. They honestly thought Brown was some big victory. Research people. Research. I definately told some people so on that one.

Campaign's over,

I don't have to keep lying to get votes.

Elect Peter Schiff:
http://schiffforsenate.com/

Everyone knew already

Everyone already knew that Brown was for health care reform and that he supported RomneyCare.

The current system does not offer people freedom of choice. Current federal laws regarding health insurers violate the commerce clause of the US Constitution in which one of the powers given the Federal government is to "regulate" commerce between the states. Nothing in the word regulate means "protect a monopoly."

It is my belief that Brown will work to facilitate health care between the states and pave thwe way for each state to effectively and efficiently implement their own version of RomneyCare if they so choose.

As a nation in an ever shrinking world, health care is an important aspect of national defense which cannot be ignored. If our predecessors on this continent had some form of health plan, the European colonizers would not have been able to unleash germ warfare through smallpox infected blankets. Shall we leave ourselves vulnerable to the next group of invaders? Nukes and guns and airport security cannot protect us from the inevitable invisible threat which will one day depopulate this continent once again and allow another foriegn invader to conquer it.

To me, this simply means

That the voters in Massachusetts are informed and aware to a degree that they can attempt to change the status quo, but they're not informed to the degree where they can make the right decisions. But the general direction is good. Like I mentioned under a different thread, Brown's timing election success struck fear with many establishment politicians and all of a sudden 13 democrats are panicking on Bernanke confirmation and there is now increased momentum for the Fed audit push before his final confirmation deadline. As for those who bicker among the liberty movement themselves on whether to vote for the lesser of the two evils. One, the impact of a minimal amount of votes is really just that--minimal, therefore it seems impractical to me to trade off principle for a marginal impact on the outcome, however if my one vote decides the election outcome, I will vote for the lesser of the two evils. And two: in the scenario in which the liberty movement itself is not pervasive enough that people still have to go back to the square one argument on whether to trade away principles, it seems that itself is a symptom that uninformed voters are still too vast, and energy is better focused on spreading the message, rather than bickering over an issue one has no control of. Those of us more informed above the crowd willingly place ourselves in an "unfair" situation where when it comes down to the voting booth, our votes take a toll on our sense of intellectual and moral responsibility if it is realized that a certain compromise have to be made for a marginally more desirable outcome. Like I mentioned however, the movement is not even at the point yet where that is really the question until we reach perhaps some 20% of the population. Save the debate for when that happens as we've only caught a glimpse of it so far. The best way is to simply grow the movement, so that circumstance can be avoided altogether, and that to me is a both principled and practical approach.

How to identify a member of the Tea Party in Massachusetts?

You didn't vote for Martha Coakley.

You didn't vote for Scott Brown.

You didn't fail to vote.

You voted for the issues. End the wars, audit the Fed, competing currencies, a balanced budget with free and open markets.

Over 20,000 Tea Party members raise their voices!

Audit the Fed is not QUITE

Audit the Fed is not QUITE dead yet...

I used to run a investment fund so I have a lot of friends in the finance world. The "conspiracy theories" are that the Federal Reserve and its primary dealers (GS, JPM, C) are propping up the stock market right now to keep the attention off of Wall Street for the time being.

They want to paint the picture of a (jobless) recovery, so that Congress will not feel the need to find a scappegoat / audit the Fed.

However, since QE (quantitative easing) is ending next month, the primary dealers may not have enough repo cash to continue propping up US stocks... If stocks take a tumble, then HR1207 will become a hot topic on Capitol Hill because the politicians will need to find someone (Fed) to blame!

As AbrahamNorway posted below, this thread is misleading

Scott Brown said all this same stuff before the election.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJEEQHOnI2Q

We'll he mustn't have said it well or often.

If he did, thousands of people who held their noses and voted for him sure didn't hear it.

He voted for the healthcare reform in MA

And that should have been enough to warn them, even without blatant comments like the ones he made in the debate video posted above.

We have too many ignorant voters, too many who are willing to hold their noses.

Yes, that should have been enough.

.

Last time i checked, Ron Paul

Last time i checked, Ron Paul was for healthcare reform too. So whats the problem?

Why are we getting worked up over this? We have bigger battles to fight.

I meant the Massachusetts healthcare reform, specifically

Which led to citizens in that state being forced to buy insurance.

I live in massachusetts, if

I live in massachusetts, if you look at roll call, it passed with over 90% voting AYE. Scott's senate campaigns have always been really close and in a state like MA, it was do or die.

Some would say he did it so he could remain to fight another day.

I know, its a very poor excuse but MA politics are quite literally the most messed up one party bullshit ever.

Also, as a aside, if a state like massachusetts wants that kind of health reform I would support it, seeing as its a states rights issue. Its when you can't vote with your feet is when you have a problem.

This is evident in the congressional seat or two we are going to lose after the census.

The problem with states' rights

occurs when the representatives are representing their campaign donors, like Big Pharma, and not the people of the state.

I wonder if the 90% AYE vote reflects 90% of the citizens being in favor of the health care reform? If so, why were so many people apparently confused, thinking Scott Brown was against the federal healthcare bill (when, in essence, it does the same thing that the MA state bill does?) I mean, if 90% of MA citizens wanted MA healthcare reform, why would he campaign as if he is against healthcare??? That would be political suicide- if MA really WANTS these healthcare (insurance) mandates.

Well.. that's big media for

Well.. that's big media for you or ignorance. He has never said he against health care reform, just the bill in its current form with all the backroom dealings, handouts, etc.

I didn't

notice the digg link earlier...dugg @ 44...

"Past campaign mode"??? What's that supposed to mean?

In his victory speech he kept saying "We can do better" - so he was never totally against a health care plan. And supposedly the people of Massachussetts don't like their Romney health care, it's too expensive, yet Romney was helping this guy on the QT, as was our buddy John McCain. So what's with that?

Debbie

It means

Back to business as usual, i.e. say anything to get elected, do anything I want after being seated in office.

And just come right out and say so, how insulting to the voter

is that? I think he is Romney's man, and they are going to run Romney for Prez in 2012. Romney, if elected, will give Scott Brown some higher appointment for doing his "duty" as Senator.

Scott Brown US Israeli Relationship

Standard operating procedure for vetting of acceptable Zionist candidates. I would use this position and not change a word if I were running for a top political office. A say one thing and do the opposite type of deal.

Position Paper on The United States - State of Israel Relationship
http://www.solomonia.com/blog/images/2010/01/scottbrownisrae...

Pretty soon

a paper like that may ( officially) be required for any political office!!! Another country should never have that much political influence over our domestic and foreign policy decisions.

I stand with Ron Paul on this issue. Ron Paul was one of the very few that voted NOT TO CONDEMN the Goldstone report. IMO , because Ron Paul stands by his principles of noninterventionism and would never write a paper like the one above, are the main reasons that he is purposely marginalized and would never be allowed a fair chance at Presidential run.

Ron Paul:
"I see no reason that our friendship with Israel cannot continue. I favor extending to Israel the same friendship that Jefferson and the Founding Fathers urged us to offer to all nations. But that also means no special privileges like foreign aid – a position I maintain vis-à-vis all other countries as well. That means I also favor discontinuing foreign aid to governments that are actual or potential enemies of Israel, which taken together receive much more American aid than Israel does."

Scott Brown and National "Healthcare"

Hey, don't take it so hard!

I hope that nobody actually thought that this Bush/ McCain/ Palin wannabe was REALLY a Constitutional conservative or a libertarian! People who already knew this voted, as they should have, for Joe Kennedy. People who had yet to learn this, merely voted against Miss Coakley. In one sense, even electing that neocon member of the stupid party to the Senate was an accomplishment.

The tea party movement, Ron Paul and his Campaign4Liberty, the Libertarian and Constitution Parties, and other sources of independent politics can only grow as more and more Americans, both in and outside of the Peoples Republic of Taxachusetts see Comrade Brown as he is in all his neocon glory!

Hold your noses!!

The Republican Party may indeed one day be a real alternative to the warfare/welfare state democrazy that we did so much to get ourselves and our children into. But it will take many more Ron Paul types, and fewer--a LOT fewer--worthless Sarah Palin/Scott Brown/Mitt Romney type neocons! Real Americans will have to make the difference.

The election of this useless neocon as the replacement to the odious Ted Kennedy shows us that we have made a good first step, but only the first step, and a big job lies ahead, both in Massachusetts, and around the country!

PEACE AND FREEDOM!!
David K. Meller

If he this turns out to be a

If he this turns out to be a McCain, Lindsey Graham type Republican. The Tea Party movement, Republican Party, small government revolution, etc. will be totally destroyed. This man has a huge responsibility for the next 10 months, DON'T SCREW IT UP Senator Brown.

Highjacked

He said nothing that has not been said all along..
He is a smooth, finely polished, individual , in Obama's league...The tea party is NOT the Paul party & the massage is clear. You will get some kind of Healthcare bill, throwing your prefferences to the Wolves...MY healthcare is MY business, not the governments..I can regulate my own premium $$$ by buying or not buying ..Forcing me into something else does me NO good service ..The Elites cannot take care of the elderly proprly, now; how are they going to give "ALL" Americans proper care ? Let them start a business, first; for those who do not have healthcare.. Let us see if they can manage a business properly ..So far they cannot handle SSI & Medicare too well...All they are after is our premium payments, then ration out care to those who have connections..Pre-existing condition persons will drain the bank unless care is rationed ..Think about it ..How far in debt are all the industrialized nations because of national healthcare? Where do the people of the World, NOW, turn,to get proper treatment ..Kill any bill & Let me lead myself, as it was intended in the Constitution..
I've been driving a truck like his for quite some time ..It didn't impress me..
If you are not for me, the individual , you are against me..Simple

gold is where you find it .

I was afraid this would happen

It was too good to be true. It stands to reason that this guy, coming out of nowhere like he did, couldn't have won against "the machine". BHO looked way too happy on his interview with snuffleupagus last night.I've never seen him smile so much. So they handed us a sop, and they will now try to convince us that it's what we want.

He didn't come out of nowhere, you just never heard of him

He was a State Senator and apparantly pretty popular.

Never Heard Of Him

I live in Mass and never heard of him until a couple of months ago. In Mass its hard to imagine someone more irrelevant than a republican state senator, they are outnumbered something like 45-5 and the ones that are there are realy dem castaways as they vote for the same crap and never actualy propose anything. For example, they oppose every citizen oriented tax cut.
Anyhow I digress ...
As I recall the "party" held a meeting in November where the idea of running Andy "iraq study group" Card was put on the table but he was dissed because of his ties with Bush2.
Enter, Scott Brown .. a reliable stooge that cant be linked directly to dubyah because I doubt dubyah would have wasted his breath .....

But, he wasn't well known

even in Mass. Besides, when I said from nowhere, I meant in the polls. He was polling 30 points behind Coakley a few weeks ago. It seems now that the whole drama was orchestrated.

Beware of the new strategy!!

The party strategy here and into the future, is in perfect sync with Quigley's prophetic description of the NWO/CFR methods of replacing evil with evil every four years. This is to assure the progression towards global tyranny, global money control just like the dark ages of Kings and feudal systems, assuring the progressive and continuous direction of the ship of state away from constitutional limited government with all of it's ramifications to the contrary!

One strategy towards this end we have just seen in the GOP and DNC collaborative rescue of the Senate seat from the threat of a true liberty candidate acquisition!

This was accomplished by having the democratic wane in strength while the GOP grows... all supposedly from the outgrowth of the Tea Party influence! This is also seen in Palin being used to support the GOP incumbent governor in Texas against the liberty candidate who represents the true grassroots and Tea Party interests, pretending at the same time to be defeating the democratic party!

The end result of all this maneuvering is the impression left with the rest of the GOP and some liberty minded Dems, that the GOP as a 'party' is now positioned to win, for the people, for the Tea Parties, for liberty! All while running AGAIN under the banner of the 'fuhrer princep' RATHER than the banner of truth and liberty, limited constitutional government, sound money, ending the FED, ending the Income Tax, ending all the alphabet soup agencies without the authority to exist under sound constitutional exegesis!

Bottom line is the people will become more happy, more comfortable, more content, and MORE ASLEEP, towards their duty to stand on the walls of the city of liberty and discern between party and truth, between pablum and principle, between liberty candidates proven best by test, rather than deceitful and ignorant candidates without one iota of demonstrable proof in word, stand or deed, that they are as true to liberty principles, as they are attempting to appear!

Beware... both parties are rising to defeat the life of liberty, to defeat all but party followers and globalist/socialist candidates who will not rock the boat of the CFR/NWO!

As such it is paramount that the liberty and grassroots movements learn the distinctions between true liberty candidates and the party patsy's!

Make the candidates step forward and raise their hands publicly in assent to ENDING the FED, ENDING the Income Tax with NO FLAT TAX REPLACEMENT, barring all war with out lawful declaration, bringing troops home who are not essential to the DECLARED war; Producing sound gold and silver backed money of account, ending ALL federal government involvement in all things not specifically enumerated in Article I Section 8... I could go on, but you get the drift!

When good men are asked to stand for truth, it will become clear if they are good constitutional liberty candidates, and those who have recently discovered the meaning of the constitution, are not to be trusted quite frankly, and even if truthful, need to take their place in support of those who supported the Truth all along... in other words those who stood for a Paul presidency when the chips were down!

"Suspicion is a Virtue, if in the interests of the good of the people." Patrick Henry

But that would rule out Glen Beck

Mark my words he will betray us again.

Come on DailyPaul...

He advocated health care for everyone during his campaign. He was just against the current bill up for vote and "bringing it back to the drawing board" was the way to go.
It is pointless to discuss his loyalty to one health care reform over another.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJEEQHOnI2Q

Reading through the comments reveals just how much many too often are blazing their guns in the dark. Refocus your resources!

EDIT: Perfectly demonstrated by comment above (JSBach).

Thanks for clarifying that

I wasn't following the election enough to know that he already said he was in favor of gov't healthcare...before voting day.

So according to you

Yesterday was the first time he spoke of seeing great things in the federal proposal.
In your link did you hear the words "back to the drawing board"? He clearly said he is going to send it back to the drawing board.
Now listen to what he was spouting yesterday?
According to you, a federal mandate to buy a product is bad but a state mandate is just fine?
Brown gurgled his way through explaing that one but he was given a free pass from actualy trying to give an explanation that made any sense.
Honeymoon is over. Lets keep a flame on this guys butt.

What Did You Expect?

We're talking about Massachusetts.

Even if Brown is just as bad as a Democrat, the psychological effect on the Democrat Party socialists is bound to be demoralizing.

For the Record, I predicted this yesterday

http://www.dailypaul.com/node/122167

I said, "you watch." It sure didn't take him long.

Never vote to block a greater evil. Vote for what you want. This guy is rotten to the core, and wishful voting never works.

IMissLiberty

Sadly, neocons are claiming that the ballot box works

IT'S A LIE!

At best, the ballot box is a suggestion box to those that place people in power.

And the powers that be chose someone who talked the conservative talk to satiate the conservative voters. Brown (a fake conservative) is simply a pacifier.

Let me tell you something that some of you know, if you want real change, real conservatives in power, then we have to use the only real power that we have...force.

The problem is that almost none of us are willing to use force because THINGS AREN'T BAD ENOUGH. That's right, the powers that be (the NWO) have created a pretty decent lifestyle for us. It isn't exactly what we want, but we won't draw blood over it, cuz it actually pretty nice.

Since we know that we don't really have barely any political power, we are stuck with the choice of just going along, force, or pretend that we have real political power. Sadly, the vast majority of us do the later.

SOME of what you say is true, but

I don't agree that the "powers that be" have created anything for us, they have hindered society every step of the way, as WE created this lifestyle, AND they keep on chipping away at it as we go. Eventually, people may be ready to stand and physically defend their rights. But then it may be too late. As Patrick Henry said:
"They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?"
That's where we will be soon, when they have taken our guns and our right to free speech.
