anyway, i can see there are many smart, passionate americans who have a streak of humanity left.

you all have a huge responsibility to the children of this planet. please stop legallising death, lies, and selfishness. get rid of those idiots in the white house.
thank you. brett and family

Give it time...

aussie68,

Give us a chance! Most of U.S. are bilssfully unaware of what's really going on. I'm sure you can reason that our imperialistic government no longer represents the will of the American people. Slowly, many are waking up to these facts. Most of us sane folks, however, are not prepared to fend off a small federal army wielding snipers, tanks and helicopters.

It might surprise you to know that there currently is an effort to impeach Cheney: http://www.washingtonpost...

Think of what would happen if we only impeached Bush!

For decades, the American populous has been brainwashed and mind-controlled. We believe(d) the whitewashed history and rhetoric that was stuffed into our heads. A great majority of us are concerned, compassionate and peaceful individuals. Most of us are apalled by what's going on now but have to relearn our place and responsibility.

Change will not happen overnight, but we now have a galvanizing force to unite and represent us in Dr. Ron Paul. Please help us by spreading the word in your country to anyone who you think will listen. The "establishent" will stop at nothing to nullify our efforts, but our statement will be made to the world.

Take it from a Nazi

Hermann Göring: Why, of course, the people don't want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece?

Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.

Gustave Gilbert: There is one difference. In a democracy the people have some say in the matter through their elected representatives, and in the United States only Congress can declare wars.

Hermann Göring: Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

Ridiculous!

I have to admit I laughed, too, at first. It's just so ridiculous. They treat us like 2nd graders. Then you are hit with the startk realities as depicted at the end of the clip. Then it's not so funny.

Along the same vein, I couldn't help but notice a new angle to the fear mongering (in the video linked below). Are these direct threats from the Commander in Chief to news reporters? I swear I heard him threaten David Gregory's kids. Is that how fed up he is with trying to sell the drama? I can't even look at this creature anymore.

Great clip...

if you can make it all the way through it. I couldn't. My first reaction was !$#^%$#&&@!!!. And then I surprised myself by bursting out in laughter, and posting this comment. I never knew my frightened self could laugh at something like this. Defense mechanism in good order I suppose. This is a very moving little movie. Wow. Great headline.

Funny

Steve - you're right. It is funny because it is so ridiculous. To see the repetition of propaganda in this form makes it quite clear what they are doing. And Bush spells it out in the intro! "See, in my line of work you just have to repeat things over and over." Unbelievable! "In my line of work???" Apparently, being part of the new world order global elite is just a "line of work."

Rudy in particular hams it up. Look at his exaggerated hand movements. It is its own brand of terrorism: trying to terrorize people into doing whatever they want. In other words: "911! Terrorism! Ergo, anything we want to do - Constitution and principles be damned."

Great clip.

the heart of the matter

And this quote at the heart of the matter –

“Other members of the Republican establishment suggested that Paul was "blaming America" for the 9/11 attacks. That's because they think that the federal government is America. Actually, the federal government and the country are composed of two separate and distinct groups of people -- those within the federal government and those within the private sector, a point reflected in the Bill of Rights, which expressly protects the country from the federal government.”

Unfortunately, most can not discern between Nationalism and Patriotism; the former is confused as the later. The sycophant Nationalist blindly obeys flag draped plutocrats while the true Patriot fights against the wind to defend constitution and country.

And this ‘Blame America First’ is a brilliant, albeit insidious slogan. The patriot is stopped before he starts, in his duty to right a wrong. Reason must not be employed, even at the simplest levels lest it create the domino effect of a thousand falling curtains.

You would think ‘our foreign policy as a contributing factor to blowback’ is a simple, logical fit – to the government certified conspiracy theory of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. But no, that would in fact lead to more ‘curtains’ falling. So ‘They Hate Us for Our Freedom’ becomes the mindless mantra; another insidious platitude to keep the American public staring eyes wide shut into the abyss.

thanks, stranger

stranger, it never ceases to surprise me how much we think alike.

I read this yesterday, and thought, "yeah, right on!":

“Other members of the Republican establishment suggested that Paul was "blaming America" for the 9/11 attacks. That's because they think that the federal government is America. Actually, the federal government and the country are composed of two separate and distinct groups of people -- those within the federal government and those within the private sector, a point reflected in the Bill of Rights, which expressly protects the country from the federal government.”

Michael, bring back pics

Btw – take two perfectly operating cameras with you to the debate; you got to bring back pics…
