Clint Eastwood, the revolution needs YOU!
While I'm not all that keen on celebrity endorsements, I know a thing or two about the persuasive power that they bring. I know that you (Mr. Eastwood) are a known libertarian who abides by the "leave me alone, and I'll leave you alone" maxim. Unfortunately, today's sordid state of political and economic affairs no longer affords millions of our countrymen that opportunity. That maxim has now been replaced by "Don't tase me, bro." We now seem to live in a nation that is governed by people that are no longer working in our interest.
If you find this to be as reprehensible as I do, then now is the time for you to formally join our movement to take our country back. While I respect your privacy and freedom to do as you choose, I appeal to your sense of patriotism at this critical point in our republic's history.
I implore you to consider Ron Paul's candidacy and his message of freedom, prosperity, and peace. With your help, we can restore our Constitution to its full force and effect as the supreme law of the land. While others merely pay lip service to our Constitution, Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate who has a twenty-plus year record of adherence to its very letter and spirit.
In this day of undeclared wars, runaway spending, dishonest monetary policies, erosion of civil liberties, and the complete selling out of our nation's very soul, how can you not possibly take action? Now more than ever, your country needs you.

Nicely said, can it be tailored to the Billionaires?
During that craze here it was established that Cuban and Theil (man I forgot the other guy's name) are simpatico to liberty policies. If they bought non-RP-specific infomercials of the theme "now that it is certain our next president will continue the warfare-welfare state, let us examine these facts and put the questions to all of them... why do we need 700 military bases in 130 countries?... what is so insane about the idea of Blowback... the gold standard? Why won't we talk about entitlement reform as we're bankrupting future generations?" etc etc
Program guests: David Walker, Michael Scheuer, Walt Williams, Scott Ritter, Ron Paul...

way to reach clint
this is an excellent idea.
after working in the industry for a long time in various guises, i will say that a letter sent to his production company will have a far far greater chance to get to him then one sent to his agent.
let me repeat this, FAR FAR greater...
(i/o/w if you send it to his agent, you are wasting your time and a stamp)
a letter sent to his production company will go straight thru the warner's mailroom, right to the buidling, right to his assistant's desk.
Malpaso Company
c/o Warner Bros 4000 Warner Blvd. Bldg 81
Burbank CA, 91522
one last suggestion: consider writing the letter with as much integrity and intelligence that the good doctor would use if he were writing it himself.
apologies
for the double post
DO the above
Good idea

Eastwood on Cavuto
Did anyone catch it!? From ronpaul2008.com thread:
"Steve Svensson Says:
February 7th, 2008 at 3:17 pm
Is anybody watching Cavuto interview Clint Eastwood? Neil asked Clint about Ron Paul, and Clint was supportive of him. Mr Eastwood is a libertarian, and Cavuto brought it up.
Kudos to Cavuto.
That was HUGE!!"
Reminds me of an old vice presidential thread on this forum ;)
Yeah, but he also went on to
Yeah, but he also went on to say that McCain is talking about some of the same things that RP is. Obviously the man has no clue.
...
Well that's not encouraging.
Hadn't seen the clip myself; still looking for a download URL.
addendum: sorry it appears that the reply feature isn't working properly
A Clint Eastwood endorsement
A Clint Eastwood endorsement for RP would be awesome, hope it happens!
Y'all keep quoting...
...Dirty Harry, when clearly William Munny was his greatest ever.
"I've always been lucky when it comes to killin' folks."
Hmmm, maybe not the best character for the campaign, though.
While that's a good one...
With regards to other candidates...

Yours in liberty--st
Yeah, I can't wait for RP to
Yeah, I can't wait for RP to stand up in the next debate and say, you've got Chuck and you've got Rambo, well...Go ahead, make my day! I've got Eastwood on my side.
Kurt Russell is also a Libertarian.
Let's flood his company
and his agent's address with nicely prepared formal requests for endorsement.

and try to stress how this endorsement could benefit Clint
respectfully let him know how many other patriots there are who would champion him for endorsing Dr. Paul
I'll buy his whole catalog on blu-ray.
He's got soooo many good movies.
It doesn't have to be that many--he just has to read one.
I'm sure he'll come to his senses.

I said this months ago...(not here)
I went to his official forum and was abruptly booted.
I believe you have to become a member
and pay a fee (I think).

please
make this happen. I was hoping for Stallone but after hearing him on Rush today I am glad I was wrong. Dirty Harry can take them all. It's like fantasy Politics, but it plays to emotion and that is a battle that we have to win!
How can we get this to him?
We definitely need good ol' Philo Beddoe on board.
So right, Clint is worth far more than
Stallone and Norris combined. At this point, what do people know of Chuck Norris other than exercise equipment infomercials.
What's up with Bruce Springsteen? He's been against the war, but I suspect he's much more comfortable with the socialist party candidates.
Yup!
Clint ambles on from back stage and leans over into the mike while we all experience spontaneous respiratory arrest...
Almost under his breath he says, "Do ya feel lucky......PUNKS"?
Such pleasant dreams..

I reckon so.
I'm more of an 'Outlaw Josey Wales' fan, but the message says it all.

NICE, time to get that
NICE, time to get that letter to him somehow...

Thanks.

That would be Sweet.
He could make Walker Texas Ranger and Rambo cry just from lookin' at 'em.
Dave Barry, too...
Imagine if we had Dave onboard as a speechwriter....The fact that he's hilarious masks the more important fact that he's one of the best writers and most prescient thinkers around today. I keep linking to his words from more-than-a-decade-ago

because his hilarious wisdom remains timeless.
