RNC Looking for National Platform Ideas
This request ( http://www.gopplatform200... ) by the RNC to contribute ideas to the National Platform seems very open and inviting.
The last, 2004, RNC National Platform was a blueprint down-the -line for interventionist and unconstitutional policies. Maybe, just maybe, this is an opportunity to write a sound National Platform.
If you sign up and submit ideas please let us know the results (either way) here.

IDEAS FOR GOP PLATFORM
Let's start by sending the GOP the link to:
LETTER TO THE NATIONAL GOP
There are now 11,234 signatures on this petition and increasing everyday.
However, there should be 81,000+ signatures, at least as many as have signed-up for the CFL. Why can't every CFL member be sent an e-mail about signing this petition? How do we get the word out about this?
There are countless policy issues that we can raise so that at least we can say that we attempted to communicate our beliefs to the GOP.
If they continue to ignore us and not let Dr. Paul speak nor even attend the GOP Convention, then all that will do is make us re-double our efforts to wake up America. It is working, but not fast enough.
thell them
if they want our ideas to get behind a candidate that is really about change and that you will not vote for McCain. I have read that when someone actually takes the time to write in or email their comments and concerns that THEY actually think it represents 12,999 others so for every person who takes the time to provide their input it represents 13,000 who likely agree.
I posted a thread a long time ago about a letter campaign for us all to mail the state level and the national level republican party that
I AM REGISTERED REPUBLICAN AND CAN NOT VOTE FOR JOHN MCCAIN - DO NOT COUNT ON MY VOTE.
If we all did this at the same time and each letter counted as 13,000 people I hoped it would make a difference, but few really got on board, maybe it's time to try it again.
We could also tell them that we are not only not voting for John McCain, but if they want our input we will be up the street at the Campaign for Liberty and they are welcome to join us!
Great suggestion. Maybe
Great suggestion. Maybe someone will notice.

This guy has some heart-felt insight and the word power to say it. All politicians please take note.

I've tried twice to register on the RNC site ...
... so I could post a video suggestion for the platform. I never received a confirmation email. Has anyone else had difficulty registering?
I'm beginning to think the RNC scowered Youtube looking for anti McCain videos and didn't like mine?

Don't waste your time. We've seen how "effective" online polls are. Tell 'em what you think to their faces.
Wasting My Time
Actually, I am not posting for the benefit of the GOP, whom I consider impervious to input. We all know they just want to appear as though they are listening when they fully intend to proceed just as they have been doing. I am posting for the benefit of those who read the other entries -- to give them something to think about. But yeah, I could be wasting my time. :-)
Go for it!
I've added numerous platform suggestions there. I've tried to make my tone polite, reasonable and non-inflammatory. I definitely did not allude to Ron Paul or the Revolution as I don't want the platform suggestions to be dismissed out of hand. I want reasonable people who have never heard of Ron Paul's positions to read them and say, "yeah."
There is a poll there that is very silly and really not designed to measure actual opinions, as the questions are loaded and the answer options are extremely limited. The questions are kinda on the order of: How many adulterous affairs did your mother have...? More than 10? Less than 10?
(Except that the questions are about policy positions, not your mother....)

probably made the 1,000,000 list of suspect terrorists for citing a platform suggestion of returning to the constitution, period.
