I want to make the sign drive HUGE! Literally
I have the capability to cover large things with easy to remove graphics that draw attention like crazy. If someone can locate a building in town owned by a supporter and a lift, we can put graphics on it in a matter of hours (if someone can find 10, I'll leave a bit earlier). Same goes for box trucks, trailers, cars, vans, you name it. The vinyl comes off like it was never there and we could take this "Paint Saint Paul Ron Paul" concept to a whole new level.
I am 100% committed to this cause and I really really want to use the largess of my medium to help in any way I can. And, there's many others in my business across the country who want to see Ron Paul elected as much as we do.
PLEASE GO to www.hideyourride.com/revo... and send me ideas for wraps and start thinking of things we can cover!! You can get all my contact info by clicking on the logo at the top of the page. I'm willing to dig pretty deep, so please let's do it like it's never been possible to before!

Maybe someone wants to speak
with my former employer? I use to work for Elliott Aviation, a private jet and chartering service/FBO. I worked at the one in Des Moines, but they have a branch at Flying Cloud Airport in Minnesota (in Minneapolis). I was wondering if there might be some delegates flying in through their organization. It might be nice to have some RP decked-out greeters in the lobby to welcome them to the RNC if you get my drift. Hey, maybe even give them a courtesy ride to their hotels, so they can chat-up on RP with some supporters?? I'm not sure how Elliott's will react to this idea, but they are very nice people. I know they're not too big on political stuff, with media always trying to get in when candidates arrive, but since we're not media, maybe they will allow some sort of brochuring? I don't feel comfortable asking them, however, if you would like to call you can mention my name (lexy, former employee from the Des Moines branch--I left on very good terms with the man in charge at DM's branch), and let them know that I suggested speaking with them about some sort of RP placement in their lobby (whether it be just a few people in T-shirts, or some sort of signage), or outside for that matter....They may agree to something as long as it isn't a circus, and somewhat low key. I believe the man in charge there is still Joe Smith. Their website is www.elliottaviation.com
"Your Choice" Billboard idea
Here's an idea that occurred to me today;

Can it be any clearer?
Best wishes. Yours in Liberty
This BILLBOARD deserves its own forum post! LOVE IT!

then.... http://www.dailypaul.com/...
Hope you don't mind but...
I posted this on my myspace. Lots of creative people out there. Hope it helps.
Related Idea - Wrap people in ponchos
I don't know if you can wrap people, but what about a Ron Paul poncho from vinyl? You might be able to make them on your equipment and get people to pay your costs (since the demand is likely high). Unless the vinyl is so thin it's an asphyxiation hazzard.
Everyone should bring an extra RP sign to leave in their hotel/motel windows so that the delegates and press staying nearby are sure to see them.
IMissLiberty
omg! can you really do this?!
I love the third concept image you have!!! that would freakin' ROCK!!!!!!!!
I guess the deal here for the Daily Paul folks is to find owners of property that will allow this to happen. Question: do you have to have a permit to have such a large image on a building? I don't know anything...but I could just see something like that jamming this AWESOME idea up. Maybe someone in St. Paul could check on that....

I Encourage everyone to make "Paint Saint Paul RON PAUL" thr OWN
I'm getting tremendous traffic at my myspace page from this. I encourage everyone to BE LIKE MIKE Lawson and make "Paint Saint Paul RON PAUL your own.
As long as the message is the same; mailing all campaign materials in St. Paul to flood the city with them, then please take it and run with it.
You can take the graphic from this page www.myspace.com/ronpaulle... and edit it to make it your own.
Here is the information: http://www.dailypaul.com/...

Thanks Mike
May God bless you and guide you in all this!
What
about Taxi cabs?
Maybe
some restaurant businesses would let us use their billboards for 3 days with their logo in the background and we make a commitment to patronize only those businesses.

Here's an idea
Mike Benoit is running for congress in the 52nd district in CA and he is a huge Ron Paul supporter. He has a 48' wide "Ron Paul for President" sign in his backyard which is on a hill facing a major freeway. Perhaps you could look into something like this for St. Paul, but put it on the roof of a building where it can be seen from miles around. How about facing the landing strip at the local airport? Do you know any RP supporters who own a building that will fit the bill?

everywhere - I hope you guys can even go overboard with RP
signs in MN.

Another idea just came to me. Added second billboard idea. May be too irreverent? Whatever.
Great caption

More busses

THANKS FOR HELPING MAKE THE "Paint Saint Paul RON PAUL" HUGE!
The "Paint Saint Paul RON PAUL" effort is the capping stone to all these months of hard, hard work. It complements DVDs 4 Ron Paul beautifully.
Please see the main thread for "Paint Saint Paul RON PAUL" http://www.dailypaul.com/...
Thank you for all your efforts! And please, please please make sure to comment and spread this all around!
Imagine the media and delegate reaction when they see that Ron Paul OWNS Saint Paul! Two or three thousand signs are them minimun needed, but WITH YOUR HELP we can get a lot more than that.

WILL to POWER is with Boris on this great idea. Obama is now publicly speaking of the New World Order on his European Tour. This is our last chance!

Man, my all time favorite picture is the recent one of the March in Washington you know the one. The HUGE crowd
http://www.flickr.com/pho...
wouldn't that be great to put on a building across the street from where the Republicrats are meeting in St. Paul.
Awesome
Idea!
Brilliant!
I have that one and I can blow that image up to 100ft long or more! We need a building or two. Glass works really well too, and you can only barely tell its there from the inside. I wonder how much it would cost to buy the window space on the place the republicans are meeting? Wouldn't that be something?
Bump
Keep this on top please.
great idea...
Mike,
If you haven't already, you may want to email Cory Stern, organizer of the St. Paul, MN Ron Paul meet up group

Hopefully they can direct you to some local business owners who would gladly offer their buildings or trucks for this event
Good Luck!. and thanks for volunteering your valuable service. Hope to see these wrapped buildings on youtube!

Dont forget about all those nice big barns on the farms that are hosting Ron Paul campers !!!
Good one!
Does anyone have contacts with them? A 10ft x 20ft banner would suit those barns well.
Mike
It was on another thread. It was an organic farm. I will get back to you with the info.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!
I WAS JUST TELLING MY FAMILY I WANTED TO DO THIS TODAY
I have a chevy van that I am taking on the freedom walk thru Iowa. I would love to have it wrapped with the campaign for liberty wrap. Imagine driving into these little towns, signing people up for the campaign for liberty, talking about Ron Paul, showing videos on the spot covering 280 miles into Minneapolis. Checkout the website and the idea and if you could put a wrap on my vehicle I would love it. Great eye catcher!!!! Contact me at moonslippers@yahoo.com I have lots of good ideas and travel extensivly this would be good!

Hot air balloon ?
Ground level on the way into town ?
Something in the night sky
Like the bat signal only the campaign for liberty signal ?
If someone has a DVD projector or an old slide projector
It's easy to show a movie or slides on the side of a building at night and surprisingly hard to tell exactly where it's coming from. That's a good one! People should bring thier projectors, especially mischievious people (like me)!
we could set them up to
we could set them up to shine on the RNC conventions building-if only for a couple of minutes till we are whisked away by the patriot hating police.
"Ideas have consequences." Ron Paul
Looking forward
To what you come up with. With your enthusiasm I know it will be awesome !!
You guys are not very helpful
rope? call a trucker? here's the same picture you obviously already have??? gee, thanks. I can see the committment is deep. If you enjoy being a "fringe" movement, join a third party. If you want to blow this thing up, HELP ME WITH IDEAS. I already have the picture of the march. I don't want to "plaster" anything, I want to GIVE tens of thousands of dollars of support with the best graphics you've seen and I get, I'll send you rope??
You know for around $100 you can rent a 29' truck from u-haul for the whole time of the event? They are great for large graphics (if you're going to write "then rent one", don't.) YOU rent one and let me know. I'm already getting at least one.
How about everyone that's driving, don't you want to spread the message? Give me your ideas and we'll coordinate with one of 700 shops across the country to get you taken care of. I'm serious about this, I charge a lot of money for my services and they are considered to be the best form of advertising for retaining info and taking action. But if you like fighting more than winning, keep sending jokes and irrelevant stuff. We can form a bridge club in the FEMA camp.
I suggested contacting the truckers
cause I thought it would be cool to see a convoy of them buzzing St. Paul.
You criticize and tell us to go rent trucks...
your A' CASE' , I wouldn't want to organize anything with U
I meant no offense
I know you were being sincere and I meant to note that. I don't want anyone thinking I'm nasty or hard to work with, but I have been waiting so long for a chance to get our mesage out that I get frustrated. I guess I was hoping for, "I know a guy with 5 trucks". When I say you rent trucks, mean it. I guarantee with 5-10 trucks we can get to some people. The designs will be as professional as anything out there and we can have an array of messages:
"REAL Republicans Honor The Constitution."
"Why McCain? You said he was a Liberal 6 months ago?"
"You Don't have to sell your souls, Ron Paul is in town"
Or--Some shocking McCain support:
"Satan says YES to McCain"
"Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Bomb Iran. Warmongers for McCain"
"McCain. Basically still Missing in Action"
Please accept my apologies if I was rude earlier, I am here to help and time is short, please help think of ideas and locations. And if you can, rent a truck or van or call a trucker or the owner of a building. My specialty is art, not people (obviously).

thats a big 10/4
Maybe contact the trucker's, sure hope you find something BIG to plaster.
There is a late night radio show
that caters to truckers. I ran across it by accident a couple times. The callers were very knowledgable, self-employed truckers who were politically astute. Maybe the station could give some free publicity and a number for truckers to call and offer advertising space. I am in WI and heard the broadcast in WI but it was fading in and out...so I'm not sure where they were broadcasting from. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help. I am hoping this will trigger someone elses memory.
Maybe Alex Jones could mention it also. I'm sure many of his late night listeners are truckers. Also, truckers belong to unions too.
If I can track down some more info I will post it.
