There's a rule somebody's posted 600 times before that he cannot cross party lines to endorse. I don't know why and DON'T CARE if he likes them or not. I will only vote for Ron Paul, Ron Paul is my President!
****edit****see the post below: tylerc217 ---It's about losing his seat on House committees, so stop asking already!!!
The real power we need is Congress. The presidency is a joke compared to the power of Congress. If your time here hasn't opened your eyes to this, open them wider! We need to get more like minded people to unseat the good ole boys and take back the powers that our forefathers had setup for us. I know I keep saying this, and often I feel like the odd ball out here but lets get real people. Why do you think RP has the Campaign for Liberty? To help change the gov't one person at a time. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE look into your local Congressman. I have seen several liberty minded people running for offices all over the country. Find out who, if anyone in your area will fit the bill. In my area, we have Dr. Eric Schansberg, a Liberitarian running against the establishment. ericforcongress.com for you Indiana District 9 voters. Forgive me if I sound like a broken record.
Ron Paul needs to either somehow continue his run for President, which I am certain would absolutely re-energize this revolution in an incredible way, OR endorse another candidate.
If Ron Paul endorses no candidate, then I will be taking that to mean that there is no candidate worthy of his endorsement.
for Barr & Baldwin but stop short of endorsing them. This will also be the right strategy. If he endorses say Baldwin, who will not be in at least three big states (NY, CA and TX), and Baldwin gets less than 1 m votes, it would be seen as a weakening of the revolution, rather than a strengthening. The same goes for Barr. One should rather look at the total votes they can get and Dr. Paul should work within the GOP and he has to appeal to those that reluctantly vote for McCain (as well as Obama). In this sense it is strategically good to have some distance to a third party candidate.
Also: if Paul endorse a third party candidate and the GOP loses and there is the perception that McCain lost due to the third party, the GOP will blame Dr. Paul and NOT McCain. If Dr. Paul does not endorse a third party candidate and McCain loses perceived due to the influence of the third party (Barr, Baldwin), then the blame will be on McCain AND his platform, and NOT on Dr. Paul.
You guys must think strategically and for the future, NOT only for a few months forward!
Ron Paul cannot officially endorse any candidate, or else he will lose his positions in his House Committees. Ron has said that, "Chuck Baldwin, who runs on the Constitutional Party, his views are VERY VERY close to mine. He worked very hard in my campaign." (http://www.youtube.com/v/...)
I believe that's as close of an endorsement as we're going to get.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed, or not, but I feel like the movement is leaning towards Baldwin over Barr. ChuckBaldwinForum.com has three times the amount of posts as BobBarrForums.com. There's a TopBaldwinSites.com , and not one for Barr.
I thought about writing Ron Paul in, but then I realized that I could help a party grow instead. Each party receives money from the Federal Government based on how many votes they get. We need to keep this movement going and get a worthy third party as many votes as possible.
I believe he can and I only say that based on what RP has said in some recent interviews where he has referenced possibly endorsing someone in September.
he will issue a statement. He also said he does not believe so much in prescribing to others whom to vote for, thus he will not endorse, but rather raise the issues on which to be voted on and for the future. If Ron Paul supporters cannot put two and two together and realise they should NOT write his name in and rather vote for either Barr or Baldwin, they they still seem very ill-informed and cannot think for themselves.
Dr. Paul should focus on campaigning for the Ron Paul Republicans and the campaign for liberty and raise money. Gary Johnson should perhaps also campaign with him and introduce him to others. This will keep the momentum up and also help third party candidates.
Ron Paul is the only Libertarian Real Deal out there.
I will be writing his name in, and feeling better about doing that with each passing day during the McCain presidency (or Obama Presidency).....
I can tell you this, when I voted for the good Doctor in 1988, 1989 was a Whole Lot Easier to take knowing that I did what my heart told me to do.
Sometmes, compromising is an act of killing what you are. For those of us sold on the ideas of Ron Paul, nothing short of Ron Paul will do.
I know that both Denis Kucinich and Ralph Nader are not in line with doctor Paul, however, there is one thing, one very important thing they are in line with, and that is they are hating this new America that is unfolding before our eyes, the USSA.
I would applaud very long and very loudly if they came to give a speach. I hope this event is filmed and sold via DVD. I am sure I will passing out copies years from now.
endorsed Chuck Baldwin
of course - I would love to hear him say it... but I don't think
he is going to be able to - due to the politics that suck ....
Chuck Baldwin opens his mouth and Ron Paul falls out!
CB the only logical extension of the RP campaign -
he wants to remain a republican. I'm not sure of the details but I've heard other politcal analysts say if he openly supports anyone but a republican the GOP can kick him out of the republican party. So we won't see RP endorsing anyone all the way through this thing.
Me personally, I understand. No one lives up to his billing.
Imagine if for some reason Tiger Woods didn't get nominated for the Best Golfer Award. Who would he endorse?
Nobody.
Not saying he's arrogant or anything... but he probably sees things in other people's voting records that keeps him from giving them an endorsement. He's a strict constitutionalist... and I don't think anyone else falls into that mold.
I don't think he suspended his campaign just to go endorse another candidate. As for myself whether he gives an endorsement or not won't effect my vote.I think a endorsement is to admit to giving up and I can't see that from Dr. Paul, and I hope not to see it.The Constitutional party has things very much in line with Dr. Paul but I don't vote for parties. The same with the Libertarians.Chuck Baldwin as much as he is mirrored the Paul platform he is not Ron Paul and neither is Bob Barr.
to me.Remember how hard we
worked to get Ron Paul elected,
all the things we went through, all
the money we spent. We poured our hearts and souls into his campaign. After all that,we have more than likely failed. If we couldn't get him elected,I don't think Barr or Baldwin have a chance to win because they don't have that kind of support
and they also don't have much time left to build that kind of support.Besides that,I'm just plain worn out.Sigh.
I know Ron Paul expects all of us intelligent freedom loving folk to use our own God-given brains. I will be voting Baldwin regardless, whether he endorses or not, unless the miracle we all hope for happens and we can vote for Ron Paul.
Those are my thoughts, too. RP may not have the same reasons to endorse someone that I may have for voting for him, anyway..Paul first, Baldwin second, and Barr third as the lesser evil to McCain't.
For the 100th time! Dr. Paul cannot endorse either of these two!

I believe there is a reason he has not endorsed a candidate yet.
We still may (by the grace of God) win this thing.

Call it a statement, that's fine. Kinda splitting hairs here.
The point is publicly supporting one candidate over the other even if by a public statement.

I would very much like Dr.
I would very much like Dr. Paul to endorse Chuck Baldwin. I think it would make a critical difference in Baldwin's campaign.
SUPPORT OUR FOUNDERS' AMERICA
Support the Constitution of the United States
It really does not matter

That's my point, if he
That's my point, if he endorsed one of the two that candidate would instantly have oodles more support.
Well,sure
they would have more support
instantly but I doubt it would be enough to win, in my opinion.
There just aren't enough of us yet I'm affraid.
It's not only about winning,
It's not only about winning, it's about creating and maintaining a movement.
I thought we already
had a movement to build on!
We do and we can grow it.
We do and we can grow it.

Not Voting For Anyone But Ron Paul In The General Election

Delegates Revolt For Freedom !!!
