Want to VOTE for Ron Paul in Minnesota this November?

It appears Ron Paul/Barry Goldwater has a high probability of appearing on the ballot in Louisiana. Bloomberg/Paul is appearing in West Virginia. Both of these states have an interesting quirk where candidates need not sign off on appearing on the ballot, they only need to not demand to be taken off.

Minnesota is another state like this. We can put a Paul/Goldwater or Paul/Ventura ticket on the ballot here. MN also has fairly lenient requirements for ballot access. Only 2,000 signatures and 10 electors are needed. No filing fees, no affidavits of candidacy from Ron Paul or Ventura themselves.

With the Rally for the Republic and other liberty events in the next week, we have a very good opportunity to find a gathering of registered MN voters who support Ron Paul who would sign onto this idea. We can put Ron Paul on the ballot with only 2,000 signatures and a little extra as a cushion for validity.

Why? Because there are thousands across the nation, and probably in Minnesota itself, who will be writing in Ron Paul regardless of Barr, Baldwin, and whether or not their write-in will count. This provides a unique way for Ron Paul supporters to have their votes counted, and vote for the best man. MN is also a "swing" state. Imagine how much publicity would be generated for the CFL and Ron Paul if we are threatening McCain here. Finally, if we use a new party name to get him on the ballot, we have the option of forming a new party with instant ballot access if Ron Paul/Ventura receives 5% or more in MN.

If any are interested in this effort, I have a thread set up on Ron Paul Forums here:

Sounds like a winning idea to me...

PA's election rules suck..to write Ron Paul in, you have to list every elector and spell their name correctly, too, or it doesn't count...now it could be achieved on a PAPER BALLOT...but with the EVIL voting machines, one line write-in space just won't cut it.......grrrrr
I am writing him in, anyway..........

MN Electors

I'm trying to figure out if ten electors need to appear on the petitions for Ron Paul in MN. If so, we need ten people from MN to step up as electors ASAP. If anyone knows the answer to this question, please post it.

How do we push our states to add Ron Paul to ticket?

I'm happy for Minnesota and West Virginia, but how do we push for Ron Paul to be on ticket for all states?

Even if there is almost no chance, just the push will make a statement.

In most states the CANDIDATE himself must sign off

on it. In a few states, this explicit approval from the candidate is not required.

what could it hurt?

The GOP and the DFLs could use a bit of competition, no?

Do it

Man was born to be free and independent

Man, if I were a MN resident I'd be all over this
