Considering the commonalities between the RP revolution and the Vietnam Anti-War movement, it can be quiet enlightening to compare the two.
Here is an overview of the events, numbers and deaths it took to stop the Vietnam War - a struggle that lasted over 40 years!

is to dehumanatize the humanity of the enemy. Call them "gooks", "towelheads", etc. If we think of them as our brothers in the world of mankind we could not do this to them. As Dr. Paul says , think of others as individuals not as a group. I saw to much of that kinda shit when I served in Vietnam, it sickens me to think of the deaths of all those "individual human beings". I can only pray for the soul of this nation and the ruthless people that run our foreign policies.

Guess they don't have that problem any longer...what are the chances the White House is going to give Faux Noise a talking point on the million dead civilians in Iraq?
That's the difference
We are more apathetic because we do not see the death. During the Viet Nam war a lot of the dead were shown nightly on the news. It was graphic and real and people got mad. Also, because of the draft everyone knew someone who was either there or was killed.
The fact that our media is so controlled is one of the reasons the Iraq nightmare continues.

if the public got to see horrific pictures from Iraq and Afghanistan
the people behind both McCain and Obama would have to change their political talk.............
but still they would have the upper hand in fooling sheep.
