Personally, I think Ron Paul will be endorsing both Barr an Baldwin...
but this post from LewRockwell.com speculates otherwise:

would occur if the Ron Paul major announcement was that Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr were stepping aside for him to be the nominee of the Constitution and Libertarian Parties. I would even vote if that happened.

No sh*t. Back when the whole "Made in China" thing was in it's infancy. However, there truly aren't enough products to stock a shelf, let alone open a store! Even things you just knew were made in the good'ol usA, aren't.
I agree with your sentiment, but unless you intend to start growing your own food, which will be made illegal soon, then you are locked into the same trap as the rest of us, friend.

Wheat beef butter oils starches vegetables salt and pepper......I'm not talking about fancy places because they are a tiny part of the market.
about 70% of the equipment is made in the usa.

What he needs to do
is change from Republican to Libertarian. Of course he risks losing his senior seating on the banking committee, but at this point I would think his changing party would send a big message and give media attention to the message and the LP. I'm guessing though that he would have to do it after the election or he would be replaced by another republican on the ticket for his house seat?

He's said that he tried the third party thing. I didn't agree with him at first but then I think about all that he's accomplished now and it's been because he worked within the system whether he liked it or not.

There will be no Ron Paul stepping in for anyone - the Doc doesn't want to at this point, IMHO. He would lose too much and still not be elected. There is a tremendous amount to be gained for liberty with the CFL - that is his plan and has been for months.
The announcement may be an expression of support for both Barr and Baldwin.
We can dream, right?
But aren't there rules that prohibit this kind of thing this late in the game? And wouldn't Ron lose his congressional seat, win or lose?
